Our private waterfall estate is centrally located in the heart of beautiful Transyvania County. "Transylvania" in Latin means "across the woods " which is an appropriate name since our property is surrounded by the Pisgah National and DuPont State Forests. Known as the "Land of Waterfalls" this county has the highest concentration in North America just waiting to be explored!

Whether ascending the side of a mountain, winding through our forest glades, or stepping down over mossy stones beside the majestic falls at Bradley Creek Falls or traveling off property to one of Transylvania County’s 1000+ miles of trails. Our area gives hikers of all ages and skill levels the chance to take a turn on the road less traveled.These trails and footpaths meander through the pristine forests and ridges of Dupont State Forest (Where the movie The Hunger Games was filmed. 7.1 mi.), Caesars Head State Park (11.2 mi.), Pisgah National Forest (16.1 mi.), Gorges State Park (25.3 mi.) and Jones Gap State Park (27 mi.).
BIKE Magazine chose Transylvania County as headquarters for their annual gear guide tests because “Brevard is ground zero for some of the best riding in the nation.” Between them,Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Recreational Forest boast over 300 miles of peerless single track, hundreds more miles of fire roads and an endless variety of road cycling options.
Transylvania County offers some of the best climbing in the Southeast. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced climber, this is the ideal place to harness up. Looking Glass Rock, one of the largest monoliths in North America, is famous among climbing enthusiasts and receives regular coverage in national magazines. If you want to arrange guide service and instruction, buy or rent equipment, or just get pointed in the right direction, there are several local outfitters who will be happy to help.
Equestrians return year after year to ride the beautiful trails and roads in Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Forest, and Gorges State Park. You can discover the joy and excitement of horseback riding at Pisgah Forest Stables (33.1 mi.).
The hills, dales and vistas of Tranyslvanina provide an outstanding natural setting for two nearby courses. Beautifully designed and challenging Connestee Falls (3 mi.) and Sherwood Forest (5 mi.) provide you all you need for a glorious day on the greens.
Transylvania County’s many rivers, streams, lakes and waterways can cast you off into a whole other avenue of adventure. The French Broad River, whose headwaters begin just minutes from Bradley Creek Falls doorstep. This ancient tributary, 3rd oldest in the world, flows across an unspoiled natural landscape, allowing paddlers of every skill level to follow the river as far as the current and their paddles will take them.
When it comes to the best fly fishing in the U.S., Transylvania County ranks right up there at the top. In fact, within a one-hour drive of Brevard, you will find over 500 miles of fishable trout streams, one of the highest concentrations of prime trout waters anywhere. Whether you want to do a full-on fly fishing vacation or just while away a peaceful afternoon by wetting a line, we can point you to the perfect spot.The Davidson River, Little River, Avery’s Creek and North and South Forks of the Mills River offer ample opportunities for your next whopper of a fish tale. And several local outfitters offer expert guide services and instruction.
The first zipline canopy tour in the United States was established right here in Transylvania County. Earthshine Discovery Center and Z-Z-Zip offer a variety of ziplining adventures and ropes courses. If you want to experience the forest from a bird’s eye view, this is just the ticket.
The Blue Ridge Parkway (24 mi.) is America's most visited National Park unit and is known as "America's favorite drive." Its 469 miles connect the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina to the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. Along the way, the Blue Ridge Parkway offers stunning views of the Blue Ridge mountains, forests, and pastoral landscapes, with abundant hiking trails, picnic areas and scenic byways.

Brevard Music Center
For almost eighty years, this legendary summer music program has trained prodigious young musicians, and paired them on stage with some of the most celebrated musicians in the world (Yo-Yo Ma, Renée Fleming, Joshua Bell . . . just to name a few) for seven glorious, ecstatic weeks of sublime music. Virtually every one of the more than 80 orchestra, chamber and opera performances is of the don’t-miss variety.
The Porter Center of the Performing Arts
The premier performing arts space in western North Carolina is located on the small, scenic campus of Brevard College. The stage stays active throughout the year with big-name touring musicians, local and regional classical groups, regular performances by the Brevard Philharmonic.
Flat Rock Playhouse
The State Theatre of North Carolina is considered one of the "Top Ten Theaters in the Country. The Playhouse produces Broadway quality plays. The season includes world premieres and standard Broadway musicals, comedy, and drama. The Playhouse is open from early-May through mid-October, plus holiday productions.

The Silvermont Mansion
On the National Register of Historic Places, its extensive grounds provide visitors and residents of Brevard with a casual recreation center, with gazebos, basketball courts, playground, tennis courts, walking paths and Thursday night bluegrass jams on its ample front port from 7:30-10:00pm.
The Historic Allison-Deaver House
provides visitors a rare glimpse into the life in Transylvania in the early 19th Century. With its oldest portion dating from 1815, the Allison-Deaver House is the oldest known standing frame house west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Its grounds and gardens offer picnic spots and fequent events.
